As a Software Architect at Syntellis, you’ll be responsible for the initial design and development of new software and extensive software revisions. Defines product requirements and creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. Given the dynamic nature of the company, they must demonstrate great flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers, vendors, investors and board members.

What You’ll Do

• Manage development tasks through the full product lifecycle. This includes working directly with customers to understand requirements
• Work with Sales/Presales, Consulting, Resource Team, and Support to collect solution requirements
• Turn business requirements into design and functional specs
• Work with developers to implement the solutions
• Design, write and debug code independently and in groups
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
• Project management
• Develop system documentation
• System maintenance by monitoring and correcting software defects
• Performance tuning and improvement balancing usability and automation
• Consulting with clients and colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems
• Strong problem-solving abilities and lateral thinking to meet the needs of the project
• Advance existing programming by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
• Implement globalization of software
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Analysis
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft.Net framework and tools
• Work efficiently with a wide variety of computer programming languages, frameworks and applications. Required skills include:
 C# in the .Net 4.0+ framework
 WPF and WCF
 SQL 2008+ and/or Oracle 10g+
 Visual Studio 2017+
 HTML5 / CSS3 as well as preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
 TypeScript and JavaScript
 Angular 8+ Framework
• A working knowledge of:
 NGRX or at least familiarity with the Redux pattern
 Management and configuration of IIS 7+
 Enterprise Application Technologies including load balancing
 Microsoft Excel 2010+ from an end user and developer perspective
 nHibernate
 Microsoft Azure
• Follow mature development practices including:
 Comprehensive unit and integration testing practices
 Experience in some variation of Agile development
 Software Configuration Management
• Experience using configuration management systems such as:
 Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft TFS
• Experience managing those or similar systems is a plus

Additional Responsibilities:
• Quality Assurance
• Create and execute test scripts
• Software modeling and simulation
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Support consultants, partners and customers as is necessary

Your Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in Software Architect/Engineering, with evidence of increasing responsibility
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of team members in a technical environment.
• Work efficiently with a wide variety of computer programming languages, frameworks and applications. Required skills include:
 C# in the .Net 4.0+ framework

• Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and possess a high level of self-motivation in a fast-paced environment
• Must have demonstrated history of impeccable integrity, ethics and fair play
• Must have knowledge of and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Must observe safety standards established by the company; cooperate with the company in maintaining a safe workplace; report any potential hazards to management; and be aware of emergency exits as well as the location of fire extinguishers and first aid equipment

Language and Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret and record general business information in the English language
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural information
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, employees and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to determine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where standardized methods and procedures exist but customer requirements and work situation may vary

Education:
• BS in Computer Science or information systems, or equivalent experience
