CHICAGO – July 11, 2019: Kaufman Hall, a leading provider of enterprise performance management software, data and management consulting services, announced today that its Axiom Higher Education Suite has validated its integration with Ellucian Ethos, achieving Ethos Connected status.
To support the evolving needs of leaders and financial professionals at colleges and universities, integration through APIs provides real-time data exchange between the Axiom Higher Education Suite and Ellucian Ethos. As a result, higher education leaders can more easily gain new data-driven insights and improve their financial planning capabilities.
“Kaufman Hall is proud to have achieved Ethos Connected status from Ellucian, one of the premier providers of software and services to higher education institutions,” said Kermit Randa, CEO of Kaufman Hall Software. “As colleges and universities respond to the rapidly changing business environment of escalating costs and revenue uncertainty, we are dedicated to helping them overcome their budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning challenges to improve financial performance and fulfill their higher education missions.”
Kaufman Hall’s Axiom Higher Education Suite includes budgeting, reporting, and financial planning solutions. The Axiom Strategic Financial Planning software enables the development of multi-year and long-range financial plans that integrate with operational budgets and forecasts. Axiom Budgeting and Forecasting functions streamline planning and budget development processes, and delivers analyses and modeling that guide decision-making.
Ellucian Ethos is the higher education platform connecting people, processes and applications across the institution to power coordinated programs designed for student success. With Ethos, integrations are built on the open standards and hub-and-spoke model, simplifying and reducing the overhead of maintaining brittle point-to-point solutions for institutions, while connecting applications across campus.
"We are thrilled that Axiom’s Higher Education Suite is now Ethos Connected, as it provides institutions with the ability to choose a financial planning solution that will seamlessly connect with its existing technology infrastructure," said Ellucian Senior Director of Partnerships Andrea Henry. “Connecting the community of applications it takes to run an institution not only eases the integration maintenance for IT and dismantles internal silos, but it also enables universities to make informed and coordinated decisions and focus on delivering exceptional student experiences.”
Nearly two-thirds of Axiom higher education clients, including the College of Western Idaho, currently use Ellucian solutions.
“It’s great to see Kaufman Hall Axiom and Ellucian partnering for the betterment of higher education institutions,” said Michael Chacon, chief information officer at College of Western Idaho. “Data integration is a key driver of improved productivity and transparency, so this integration provides higher education institutions with the opportunity to shorten their budget cycles and make more informed, data-driven decisions.”
