In Inside Higher Ed’s recent survey of College and University Business Officers, financial executives confirmed an increase in confidence in their institutions' adaptability based on their response to the COVID-19 crisis. Although it has been a challenging year, there’s hope! Chief Business Officers’ confidence in their institution’s 10-year financial outlook is the highest it’s been in years.

About a quarter of respondents believe their institution could return to more or less normal operations within two years, while nearly half said their institution should take the time to make difficult but transformative adjustments in their core structure and operations to boost their long-term sustainability.
